RE: FRONT BRAKE DISK MOUNTING
Dear Dealer:
It has come to our attention that in isolated cases the
the mounting bolts of the brake disk to the wheel become loose.
NOTE: THIS OCCURS ONLY ON SINGLE FRONT DISK MODELS
Therefore, may we ask you to, in addition to all normal
inspections or on pre-delivery service, to inspect the
5 mounting bolts of the brake disk.
In case you find loose screws, please replace the washers
(Part No. 34 11 1 240 570, of 34 11 1 232 417 with 5 holes)
with new washers (Part No. 33 31 1 108 204)ยท on both sides of
bolt.

Torque all bolts/nuts to 22 + 2 Nm (16 + 1.5 ft.lb.). If a
suspect brake disk has been loose for some time during operation
of the motorcycle, it is also advisable to check the wheel
flange for deterioration. If the flange is damaged, the entire
wheel must be changed.
Please route and initial before filing
