Inspect and remove any obstructions in the path of the seal before installation of the seal. ·Coat the seal, O.D. and I.D., with light grease, slightly !or easier installation. 1.) Sealing toward the swinging arm The seal, Part No. 33 12 1 230 356 must be installed with a special tool, No. 33 1 750. The threaded ring and threads in the housing must be perfectly cleaned, free o! oil and grease. Coat the threaded portion of the ring with Hylomar S032, or other proven sealant before installation. Do not coat spacer ring, Part No~ 33 12 1 230 353 or shim, ~rtlfo. 33 12 1 230 525 with gasket cement.
