Sticking of the damper tube in the nozzle, caused by the coincidence of unfavourable tolerances, is obviated by this new damper element. The floatin~ damper nozzle consists of two threaded rinrs. parts No. 31 42 1 232 046, and a third ring, parts No. 31 ~2 1 232 045; it can be installed as follows: 1. Remove front wheel, take off anchor plate on right cylinder. 2. Take off plastic cap from bottom of fork. Unscrew hex nut, wrench size 13, counterhold using Allen key size~, drajn oil. When re-fittin~, use new ~asket, parts No.07 11 q 9~3 04¥. 3. Insert upper threaded ring of the floatin~ damper nozzle in the fork tube, so that the open end points downwards. Ti~hten rin~ with wrench, BMW No. 237, to approx. 1 mkp, insert aluminium ring nozzle and screw in t~e lower threaded ring with open end pointing upwards, torque also 1 mkp, fit safety ring.
