Service-Informatio&n Group 34 April Bui:letin No. : Brakes 1984 34 006 84 – For U.S.A. and Canada Only – RE: PULSATING REAR DRUM BRAKES Dear Dealer: It has come to our attention i’n isolated cases of owners complainingยท of pulsating rear drum brakes. ( 209 2) Even after all tolerances of the rear wheel brake drum are met, pulsating of the foot brake pedal can be felt. Generally, this is caused by a slightly uneven contact of the brake shoe and the brake lever cam. Filing down the contact surface of the lower brake shoe where it touches _the brake lever cam will improve the pulsating feeling felt by the rider. (about O. lmm ( See drawing below) ..
