The piston design was improved, the circlips are now secured to the wrist pin (external) instead of the inside of the piston (see attached pictures). The dome shape was changed in order to avoid excessive carbon build-up with a better flow pattern. ( The compression ratio is the same, or 9:1. Caution: Due to the slight increase in weight, pistons with internal or external circlip location can not be installed singly but must match in both cylinders. Also when ordering watch for the (+) \ and (-) markings on the piston removed. Never mismatch the pistons; consider them as identical pairs.
