Oil Cooler Line Hollow Screw Connection — R100GS and R100R
Problem:
Cause:
Remedy:
Very truly yours,
Oil leak at the oil filter cover I oil cooler line.
When the oil filter was changed, the cooler hose connection may
have been twisted causing the screw to slightly loosen.
Subsequent tightening does not guarantee it will not leak again.
During pre-delivery checks, tighten the connection to:
15 Nm + 5 Nm (11 ft.fib. + 3.5 ft.lib.}
If the connection has been released, it is essential to install 4
new sealing washers (P/N 07 11 9 963 130).
Tightening torque when new sealing washers are used is:
18 Nm + 2Nm [13 ft.lib. + 1.5 ft./Jb.)
