Re: Michelin T 61 Tires for the BMW R80 G/S.
After extensive road testing, the following tires have been
approved as initial equipment on the R80 G/S:
Michelin 4.00 – 18 T 61 64 R with 18 CF Tube
and 3.00 – 21 T 61 48 R with 21 AB Tube.
These tires have a rated top speed of 170 km/h (app. 106 mile/h).
Please note that whenever a tire (outer cover) is changed,
the tube should also be renewed. Make quite sure that the
tire and tube are of the same make.
