Subject: Sealing Cap for Chain Tensioner Bore –
from model year 1979 with hydraulic chain
tensioner.

To prevent any risk of the sealing cap falling out of the
bore in which the hydraulic chain tensioner piston and coil
spring are located, the cap will in future be secured by
punch marks at two points (see drawing overleaf).
If you have to perform any repair work on these motorcycles,
please check whether the punch marks have been provided.
If not, secure the disc as shown, using a suitable punch.
